64-Bit still has some issues.

Specifically, it seems to hang indefinitely on the splash screen if too many or too large mods are loaded.

I tried booting up A3 64x with CUP terrains when I encountered this issue. Upon disabling them or using 32x the game loaded fine.

On top of this, I've noticed that 64x seems to load textures, polygons, and other assets significantly slower than the 32x exe.

 

Looks like I'll need to stick to 32-bit for a little while longer; my 16gb of RAM will continue to go unused.

I havent run into that issue..I run all 3 of the CUP Terrains as well as RHS ACE and a few others Arma always loads faster in Vanilla thats been like that since Arma 2.

I don't know then, maybe its something specific about my hardware configuration?

Also I wasn't referring to slowed loading with mods, I was referring to the relative loading speeds with no mods for either.

In all seriousness, this is a major issue that is preventing me from taking full advantage of 64-bit.

If anyone can help with this I would be very appreciative.

Try to make defragmentation of your hard drive where you have the game installed. This is a good behavior after big ARMA3 updates. Another best solution is moving game data files into SSD drive and using windows command mklink to make a link to the new files path.

After defragging my disk (which was only 3% fragmented) I can confirm that it has not helped.

64-bit will still freeze on splash when loading CUP terrains.
