m1lkm8n 411 Posted February 28, 2017 -edit- oops. My mistake. I thought you were asking to debinarize someone's work. You can use mikeros paid version of pboproject to obsfucate the pbo. However while there is a version of software out there that actually encrypts like bis'a Ebos it is not recommended because it can break without warning. Think carefully about using such software. blakord 0 Posted February 28, 2017 lol I dont see you first post, no problem We need a total protection because we are working on very original life mod, including a lot o new fewatures, and our comunity (spanish) is having really problem with some server stolen all what they can, we are planing include codes in model config set in lifeServer for block our home made addons in others servers, and we want to block the script for protect new ideas and methods I not understand you, paid version of mikeros include the DePbo for unbinarize what is binarized by mikeros, maybe the P3D still protected but all script and config files not, about EBO I never use ir, I see some EBO encript tool anywhere, but I dont know if work exactly as PBO file and I know Bis can remove EBO in anytime because is not using it, can you tell me a little more about your recomendation? thanks for your answer Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
m1lkm8n 411 Posted February 28, 2017 Depbo does not unbinarize models. But the paid version of pboproject can obfuscate the pbo and make it so it can't be unpacked. Pay for mikeros tools tools and use those. Don't use the ebo program as you are asking for trouble because it can randomly kill your mod when the ebo stops working. I'd like to know how you know this will happen ? Based on who's information, Why would the ebo stop working? It hasn't killed Tanoa, which use ebo's. All I'm seeing here is you guiding a person towards software that has to be purchased, without providing proof that the ebo encryptor breaks addons, and is of course free. m1lkm8n 411 Posted March 2, 2017 No. It's not. There is a free version of pboproject available. Of course you don't get the obfuscation tho which is what he was after. Look bottom line is he can do as he wishes. If he wants to release a addon using said ebo encryptor by all means do so. I really could care less. However if bis change even one single byte in the original pbo (in this case tanoa) the ebo is now useless because of the encryption. So in steams case it breaks the delta patching and required a full download. To to which he will now have to repackage his mod with the new encryption and everyone will have to redownload it again 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
