Gfx707's bunker pack1 is almost done

Recommended Posts

PACK1.jpg

I have almost finished making these 5 bunkers, from right to left....picture quality aint that great

basic pillbox, raised blockhouse (for beach defense), type 22 pillbox, gun embrasure (for AT guns, the m101a1 fits nicely), anti-invasion log spike, and a basic blockhouse for flat terrain

now the collision detection on the raised blockhouse is a little weird, you can run up the stairs and stand in it but it slows you down a little. Also the AI doesn't want to get into it, but they never go upstairs in houses either so that is to be expected I guess. All I need now is some feedback, opinions etc. The textures on the buildings are not that sharp because I thought that if you are making a beach map you would have a lot of units plus these, so it would be easier on your system

anyway, you can get it here

please report bugs and give any suggestions you might feel like giving smile.gif

Damn that is pretty nice...... except for the bug in the raised blockhouse, I reckon u should ask BIS for advice!

When are u planning to release it?

Ahhh... Isee whats the problem!

You must add the RoadWay LOD! Look at this screenshot to see how it should look like (from Fortress1.p3d ODOL model):

LODRoadWay.jpg

And the 1st LOD of the same Fortress:

LOD1.jpg

I hope it helped you!

I have now fixed the collision in the raised blockhouse and you can run about freely in it biggrin.gif

I think it is fit for releasing but I will leave it up for a couple more hours so that if anyone finds any bugs they can tell me smile.gif

I am sure you are used to a little bit of setposing by now smile.gif

2.8 seems to be the height when it is on flat ground....give or take 0.1 or so, but they will stand in it now at least biggrin.gif just made a quick beach map and it works quite nicely along with m101a1s in the gun embrasures

There is no need for setpos! You just add "Paths" LOD to your model wink.gif

Here's a screenshot of the "Paths" LOD in the same building as above (Fortress1.p3d from final OFP):

Paths.jpg

In this LOD you define where the AI should enter the building (selections named "in1", "in2",...) the path he should follow and the points where he should position himself (named pos1, pos2,..)!

I'll send you a light version of fortress1.p3d with the first LOD (1.000), RoadWay LOD, Paths LOD ans Geometry LOD so you can see how BiS make their buildings....

Hope it helped again....

but unfortunately I cant seem to open the attachments on the email you sent me....It says 'Your files are attached and ready to send with this message' and when I click on the little paperclip in OE they are greyed out....

anyway I will make amendments, its a shame I didn't know about this earlier  confused.gif
