Big texture tip!

I was miffed that if you used a texture that is in the game engine, you couldnt see it in bulldozer, then i found this: (EVERYBODY WILL DO THIS! wink.gif )

Find the data folder in the 02_viewer directory, MAKE A BACKUP of it, then extract the data.pbo from the operation flashpoint DTA folder (i assume on a moding forum everone knows how to extract pbo's), then put the contents of the extracted data.pbo folder into the o2_viewer folder (when it asks do you want to over right a file, say yes, you will have to do this a lot, so hold down the Y key for a while). Then open a model in O2 and preview, you will get an error about a missing texture, now look in the backup of the original o2_viewer data folder you made for the named texture and copy it over to the o2_viewer folder (click YES again to the overwright request), then restart O2 again and open bulldozer, if it says another texture is missing just repeat as before. Eventually it will work, now open a model and bobs you auntie! most of the textures will now be there! The missing ones are one that were in the demo but not the game...

PS: if it doesnt work after all that, open a model, ctrl + double click on a texture in the texture viewer, now right click on a view and press E, this will open the properties window, now open the load texture window (bottom right button in the properties browser) and locate the texture in the o2_viewer data folder, this will fix the link and bulldozer will now be able to see all the textures.
