Able to Temporarily Disable APEX for Mission Making?

Recommended Posts

Currently the group I'm in everyone has APEX.  However, we are playing with another group in a week that does not have APEX.  If I create a mission and host it on our server they cannot join it.

A way around that is to go to my steam library and disable my APEX DLC.  The problem is then going back to APEX requires me to download it again.

Is there a way to temporarily disable the APEX content in the editor or anything like that?  Making it so playing the mission is not dependent on having APEX?

If not this would be a good feature for future EDEN Editor updates.

There should be no need to disable APEX as all Arma3 users have APEX. Do you mean that you play against a group who doesn't have Tanoa? If so don't use Tanoa or any associated assets. These can be clearly seen in the editor with the apex logo

They are not always clearly seen in the editor.  Some objects if your using the search bar don't mention if they are apex or not.

Im pretty sure they do but in some cases its cut off by the width of the window...

I had a mission where i placed the IR tent and a bench... yep... a bench  and those two things created a dependency

removed them and people without apex could play it again... so it can be done with a little trial and error...
