DSabre 2332 Posted September 3, 2016 (edited) the SPAD isn't finished. Far from it actually. I threw it in anyway : ) the only new thing here is the comic camel Edited January 6, 2018 by DSabre (the first release was just a bundle of already existing stuff, hence this comment)

DSabre 2332 Posted February 14, 2017 Recently started making my own proper aircraft in blender from scratch. This time it may actually work in the long run. Some first impressions: Spoiler this was the first iteration, at least it flies. (It's supposed to resemble a Hansa Brandenburg seaplane) 2nd attempt, what a slightly higher detail mesh and a simple standard material can do : ) Still fighting some issues like mesh not being closed or high poly count. UV mapping is not so easy either. A few more weeks and I may have something though : ) Too many bugs in the model, so I changed the aircraft and had a fresh start: Going a little better - fighting with nonclosed meshes which I need for the proper shadow LODs. It looks like I may manage though.

DSabre 2332 Posted February 28, 2017 Blender can be fun once you get the hang of it : ) Working on a few more planes. Whichever works best will be the next addition Spoiler Hansa Brandenburg w29, 2nd attempt (restarted the whole thing) This is it's engine And I really hope that I can make this work: The Bristol F.2 Brisfit
DSabre 2332 Posted March 5, 2017 v1.25 I have added the balloons and hangars and things directly to this addon. Also added a Junkers J7 (basically a 1 seater smaller version of the CL.I)

DSabre 2332 Posted March 26, 2017 I forgot to add: you can change the Brisfits liveries in eden editor: I will adapt this feature for most of my planes to reduce some editor clutter. Probably once we have that new jet dlc loadout thing

DSabre 2332 Posted July 20, 2017 Got bored and moved on to a somewhat similar aircraft: Spoiler SWS C-1 Finally my blender skills are sufficient enough to attempt the Felixstowe F2a *** Half a year later ***
DSabre 2332 Posted January 5, 2018 Is anyone actually using this? I am working on an upgraded version. It won't require the aircraft library anymore. Also some planes will be removed: The Albatros Bs and Cs will be merged into one plane. The Junkers 7 and Albatros D.s will be removed. I will try to add some placeholders for the classnames - but things could go wrong so better remove them from missions for the time being to be safe : )
