breeze 0 Posted July 23, 2016 I been screwing with this for like an hour, made a basic server.cfg just to get started want to run my own server on my local machine to adjust AI settings the way I choose for the new Apex content, In addition to trying out different server side mods. Anyway when I launch the server its not reading my config In my short cut I have this "C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3\arma3server.exe" "-config= c:\steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3\server.cfg"; I have tried a lot of different syntaxes, im at a loss
terox 316 Posted July 23, 2016 Your assuming it isnt. Your rpt file will tell you what it is loading, Delete all existing rpt files, restart the server and look at the first few lines of the newly created rpt file. Once you have confirmed what it is loading you can go from there. I would suspect there are 2 outcomes 1) it is loading what you expect but the cfg is broken 2) Its loading a default one that it created on the fly somewhere else, most likely in C drive

breeze 0 Posted July 25, 2016 You know honestly I wasn't sure, because I started to chase everything, What was different was that I am used to running a server used to have them over the years and I even had one of the 1st Arma servers but back then I ran them on Large dedicated servers. Here I am trying to run a seperate instance of a server on the same machine. I wound up finding something by Killzone Kid. With a sample mission and BAT file Just changed all the names to match my configs and bamm It was working.. Next week if I have time I want to try to get a dedicated on another machine on My LAN but when I did the install from steam I am getting some DLL error that they say is caused by Direct X The machine runs windows 10 so direct x should not be an issue. But if you are trying to get one running for yourself locally Google kill zone kids sand box dedicated server.
