Cannot load campaign after new update

Can anyone tell me how to get my saves back so I can finish the campaign?

 

It states campaign saves not available incompatible versions.

This was announced in several Sitreps from BI. You cannot use saves from before the major games updates that have occurred. You will have to restart the campaign unfortunately. Or use the level skip cheat- https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/ArmA:_Cheats

No, just restart your last mission.

Saves made in the middle of the mission always break after updates.

I have started a new campaign after updating and I am really getting irritated! The stupid game is not allowing me to continue my progress when I come back into the game! It keeps reverting me to a manual save and every time I expand the branch and try to play a section of the campaign. I can select continue and it doesn't matter, every time it reloads a saved game that happened way back. I tried to go to the prior mission, and complete that, but now it will not advance the mission, it takes me to the campaign screen..I need help I do not understand what is going on with this, it should not be happening this way!  This is happening After the Maxwell mission before going to the Blackfoot down mission.  It is broken  I tried restarting the Maxwell mission, but you can't do a manual save there.

 

I was able to do a revert on the Blackfoot mission, that seemed to have fixed the issue.
