Overriding or hiding a city's name on the map?

Does the map allows for such modifications?

 

Even hiding a selected city's name on the map would be enough in my case. (Don't really care about roadsigns, but eliminating them would be nice, too.)

so far i know you can't hide citynames without the source files of the terrain
