Aphex26 117 Posted April 28, 2016 I just finished importing my terrain into terrain builder and went to export it so i could place objects using xcam. Upon attempting to load map with arma 3 i got this error. Too many objects in grid rectangle 63,63 Problem is that there are zero objects placed on the map. Not even roads. Here is my config and layers. My samplers tab looks like this. I've already looked through some threads where people have had the same problem but none of those solutions are working. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I will do my best to supply more information as needed.
Uro 220 Posted April 30, 2016 Your landgrid parameters in your samplers tab is computed at 64,. Try reducing your texture layer size, an old rule of thumb was: texture layer = 4x terrain cell size. I pretty much stick by this rule. This will increase your landgrid value.
Aphex26 117 Posted May 1, 2016 Ok so i changed the texture layer size to 4m and regenerated layers. I got the same error when I exported and loaded in game except now it was in grid 511,511. Im completly lost on what might be going on as, again, there are zero object or anything on the terrain. all ive done is imported the terrain, texture, and mask and then map the mapframe. Anymore help would be hugely appreciated please!
Uro 220 Posted May 1, 2016 haha I just noticed your cell size of 1, read it as 10  what size of terrain are you aiming for?
Aphex26 117 Posted May 1, 2016 I'm aiming for a 2048m x 2048m small terrain.
Uro 220 Posted May 1, 2016 Try something along these lines for your samplers tab: There settings should keep your landgrid variable at a compatible value.
