Weapon swapping

There is no longer an addAction for weapon swapping between primary and secondary (launcher) weapons.

Haven't confirmed with a handgun.

So how do you switch to your secondary weapon then? The action menu is the only way I know how.

Check your keybinds and/or control preset... are the actions bound to keys? (This is the case with the Arma 3 Apex preset, which will eventually become the Arma 3 preset.)

I have my keybindings set up as CTRL+1, 2 and 3 (Primary, Handgun, Secondary). I have no problems switching weapons...

However, the preferred method that people are used to using is the action menu.

 

I get that they've streamlined it... but why remove the core method of changing weapon? Scroll Wheel is always change weapon, in all FPS games. It only makes sense to have the option on there as well.

 

I'm basically logging this as a bug, since no one asked for the options to be removed from the action menu.

Well, for me it is. There's no scroll-wheel option to change to any kind of weapon, be it primary, secondary or handgun.

There are options to reload, open/close doors, use addActions, open inventories... etc... etc...

 

The only thing missing is the switch weapons being added to the action menu after the update which contains an "Action menu streamlining" update.

You've got a problem with some addons mate, the action menu for swapping weapons is still here. I'm on 1.59.1356666

I'm on 1.58 with the recent update (not dev branch)... but aye, I only have default addons and apparently its ok for other people, so reinstalling arma.

Hi mate, that's the weapons's controls presets : you must have chosen "ArmA3 APEX" presets instead of "ArmA3" one.
