cef71 0 Posted October 21, 2002 i am playing ofd gold for the second time around (re-installed), and now it seems the 'v' key which zooms in on prospective targets is very large and unstable. the mouse pointer seems unstable too. any ideas? Placebo 31 Posted October 21, 2002 Hmm when you say "large and unstable" what do you mean? Try to elaborate a bit more
cef71 0 Posted October 21, 2002 ok. the iron-sight seems much larger than before(maybe that's just me), but the aiming of it seems very difficult...it lags a bunch....ie if i move the mouse to the left a bit to the target, the sight keeps moving even after i've stopped moving the mouse....so the sight keeps moving past the target, then i try to bring it back...and it moves past in the opposite direction. possibly a mouse lag??? thanks for the reply:)
Albert Schweitzer 10 Posted October 21, 2002 At what configuration are you running. I dont think you can work at 1024!
cef71 0 Posted October 21, 2002 i was running at 1024(defaulted to that i guess), but even at lower settings the sight lags badly. also, the iron-sight is HUGE...about 3/4 monitor tall and 1/2 monitor wide. and again, as i pan left or right...once i stop the mouse, the sight keeps going........thanks
Mister Frag 0 Posted October 22, 2002 The size of the iron sights / weapon view is normal. The sluggish response may be caused by the video drivers, or video options that are too demanding for your system. You can try decreasing the view distance and terrain detail, or the resolution and possibly color depth. Be aware that going from 32-bit to 16-bit mode may introduce texture flickering and other rendering artifacts, so it may not be a workable solution.
