previewed changes in editor ignored.. have to restart mission

Recommended Posts

It's a bit late for me to be asking this given I've been here 10 years already, but here goes anyway;

When I'm messing about in the MP editor, I preview the mission and perhaps find an error in a script. So I fix the error, reload the mission, export it to MP and preview it again, but the mission takes a while to start and when it does, it's back where I exited the mission earlier.

I have to quit the mission back to the selection screen and choose restart.

Is there  a way to speed this up? So that when I preview the mission the second time, it doesn't reload the save and instead starts afresh?

Posting from phone so have to rely on my bad memory, but somewhere in the mission select/start screen there should be a button to specifically restart it instead of continuing where you left off.

enableSaving [false, false];

Might solve it.. I'd just stick with the SP editor, there's no difference if you're just testing alone

This behaviour is so unpredictable, that's part of the problem. If my dies while in preview, the mission is deemed to have ended and so the next preview starts afresh.

I have to use the MP editor, because it's an MP mission I'm making and I often need my test client (I have another game install and account on another machine) to join the game to test stuff.

I think this is working! Thank you. Much appreciated.
