Kyon 16 Posted December 14, 2015 Hi. I have a simple question. I plan to create or simply "mix" various parts of vests from ArmA 2 MLODs e.g. few pouches from CDF, US and Russian into one "new" vest That is easy to be done in Object Builder but I don't want to be throwing .paa file for every pouch I add from every other vest type so I want to merge them all into one texture file. How in O2 can I create a NOHQ and other mappings to make it work? UV Mapping?
x3kj 1247 Posted December 17, 2015 there is a small UV button that opens the UV menu. It's very good that you want to merge it, since a single texture for every different piece would have extremely high impact on performance due to increased section count You can either re-arrange the UV's, memorize (or note) what part was moved where and then assemble the texture parts with an image editing software to move the pieces according to their new place in the UV's. Or you can assemble the textures first and then fit the UV's accordingly. In either case, you have to do this seperately. You can't recreate NOHQ via OB. It's a texture that was , in part, created from a high resolution mesh that nobody will have access to the other part was simply painted.
