Stuck on "painting the ground"

Recommended Posts

So this isn't my first attempt at making terrains, i did a couple on my own but never went on to finish them properly (as in, they were working in Arma but never finished object placement).

Now im getting back to it but im encountering an issue with buldozer.

It seems to be stuck on loading with the "Painting the ground" writing and the usual loading bar.

It looks like it freezes entirely and i have to kill it every time.

The map is 40960x40960, am i to assume it really is that slow to load or am i missing something?

There isn't even any object placed on the map.

The RPT doesn't seem to mention anything special either.

I followed every step of the guide made by Jakerod and so far this seems to be the only obstacle on my road to happiness.

Second thing is, is there a way to automatically fill the objects library?

I remember that being a long and overly tedious work, is there anything like a script or a function inside TB that automatically does the trick?

ciao chairborne,

i read your problems on Terrainmakers cannel on skype, i hope you fixed it.

creating the objects library its a work for about 10-15 min.  ;)

You need to create a new library ,rename it in what you want, right click it and add the objects from your A3 or CA folder.

No luck so far, unfortunately, but im starting to think it's something i messed up with the layermask, seeing how the sample terrain from jakerod works.

Do i have to choose them one by one or selecting their folders is enough?

You have the option to load all the sub folders or just the main folder. If you select A3 and all its subfolders you can place all the objects available in A3. If you work with MB this is the best option you have
