Cs movies.

Some people showed me a site with a bunch of Counter-Strike movies on it.  Now I know CS isn't a favorite among all of you, but really, check these movies out.  Considering HL Engine limits, I think some are pretty good.

BTW, yes I know there are a lot of crap movies on the site too, but this one and I'm sure some others you'd like.

Windows Media Player or Real Player is what you use to watch these movies.

i just saw the militia one, and aside of bad voices(could not hear well), it was very nicely done. considering that CS has limits, it's a great job.

but then again, I'm thinking that OFP's scripts can do similar job.

Actually, the OFP engine has those capabilities. The only downside is that it woulden't look as pretty. Since the game has voice over net, as well as lip sync for talking, it could be done quite well. The only problem would be trying to find good voices. Over the microphone, I have this tendancy to sound more like a 14 year old instead of 17 year old.

Another problem would be camera placement. Since Operation Flashpoint is mostly about ranged fighting while Counterstrike is more of a closed quarters simulator, the placement of the camera has to be done well or it turns out badly.

Tanks would be great. But I suggest if such a movie was ever done, they should be used by people. Since computer AI has a tendancy to "go wrong" , by giving a command to a real person, it could happen as scripted. All you have to do is find trustworthy people who wont screw up.

Since there is a lack of spectator, or if any that I don't know about, support in the game, it would be difficult to keep the camera steady, etc.

To bad you can't record OFP

OR isn't there some windows thing that records everything that goes on on your screen. I think I remember seeing it in a another thread, not sure what it was tho.

You can record it on video-recorder if you have tv-out on graphic card and record it back to computer if you have tv-in. But it's not handy sollution.
