Vivalas 10 Posted July 27, 2015 I'm creating a small little test battle, and I'm making OPFOR anf BLUFOR fight over the Utes airfield, just to observe and also add in some artillery attacks and such, for fun and all, and I've given the commander on both teams a waypoint HOLD in the airfield to make them fight, however, only the commander runs off and the rest of the army just stays behind and watches their commander run to his death (or deathmatch at least since it's just the two commanders). I can give a HOLD waypoint to each squad in the airfield, but I was hoping the AI commander would lead his troops around and try to accomplish the objective. Is there a way to get this to work, or does high command only work with players?
dreadpirate 173 Posted July 27, 2015 ...does high command only work with players? Short answer? Yes. You might want to look at http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?129003-HETMAN-Artificial-Commander And have a look through the Scripts section at Armaholic. opusfmspol 279 Posted August 14, 2015 Also keep in mind that waypoints are a group function. The high commander is in a different group from the HC subordinate units. Each group needs to have their own set of waypoints. Waypoints can be synchronized together to control when they complete. When synched, neither one will complete until both are complete. That would keep the HC with his troops as they go from objective to objective.
