attach smoke to chimney stack-Shapur map

Recommended Posts

Hey folks, i'm close to finishing a remake of "Grand Theft Info" mission from the BAF dlc.....i would like to add some immersion to the mission. Is it possible to add smoke to the factory chimneys on the Shapur map....my limited knowledge only enables me to add a smoke module to the base of the chimney...and it looks pretty poor....any help would be appreciated.

You can move modules just like any other object.

For example, put this in the initialization field:

this setpos (getpos this select [0,2]) + [10]

The smoke will be where you placed it in the editor, but 10m above the ground.

Thanks for the knowledge Greenfist, really appreciate it:)

Wow, a postcard from Shapur? You're too kind. :)

But are the two leftmost smokes a bit off? You could place them even more accurately by going to the Splendid Camera mode and moving the camera to the exact position you want in the chimney.

Then press Ctrl+C. This copies the camera parameters to clipboard. It'll look something like this:

["Shapur",[3324.42,5929.25,6.0804],103.553,0.7,[-1.55845,0],0,0,720.032,0.3,0]

The second element in the brackets is the position. So copy the [3324.42,5929.25,6.0804] and add the setpos before it, like this:

this setpos [3324.42,5929.25,6.0804]

and put it in the modules init field.
