Can only group leaders change weapons in Co-op?

I made a co-op mission which is supposed to allow players to select their own weapons at the gear tab in the briefing. However it seems that only the group leader is able to select weapons, is there any way to do it so all players can choose weapons?

Maybe make everyone their own group to start with, so they can all select weapons, then run a script to join them all to the same group once the game starts.

That actully a pritty good idea!

Each player must be thier own grp leader and you must have the description.ext with all the weapons in it. Only the leader can change the weapons for other players.

Not sure if this is a bug or not.
