leroyjenkins 10 Posted April 22, 2015 Trying to map my X-55. Went to configure controllers, shows my Joystick and Throttle properly. But when I go to map it, there are no X-55 maps. Proceded to try using the generic's mapping and fix the bindings needed myself. Only problem is the throttle axis will never get regcognized when I'm trying to bind it to collective raise/lower (analoge). If I choose a map that already has my throttle binded, it fails to work. Am I missing something? I've seen a video where someone figured it out, but there is very limited information on the subject.
ratszo 17 Posted April 22, 2015 Did a google search --found alot for other games, same problem. May find something there: https://www.google.ca/search?q=X-55+throttle+not+showing+binding&oq=X-55+throttle+not+showing+binding&aqs=chrome..69i57.31904j0j8&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=122&ie=UTF-8 X-55..., does it use saitek drivers and software like my old js does? Arma 'sees' my throttle -- Z+-.
leroyjenkins 10 Posted April 22, 2015 X-55..., does it use saitek drivers and software like my old js does? Yes current Saitek drivers/software for X-55 Rhino Arma 'sees' my throttle -- Z+-. I can never set mine, if its already mapped it doesn't work. Gonna go over your search and see if I cant find a solution. Thanks.
ratszo 17 Posted April 22, 2015 Humm.., found a 'fix' in the battlefield forum using Vjoy software: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/forum/threadview/2979150493889267304/ Seems the problem is the X-55 is infact 2 devices. So the game sees only one device, not the second one which is the throttle. Vjoy sounds like a pain to me, but if it works?
leroyjenkins 10 Posted April 22, 2015 Yes its a dual controller hotas, but the odd thing is when i use Saitek X-52 mapping some bindings on the throttle work. So I'm thinking Arma sees both.
Rawhide 2 Posted April 29, 2015 Only problem is the throttle axis will never get regcognized when I'm trying to bind it to collective raise/lower (analoge). I have the X-55, and to get Arma to read your throttle/collective, un-hook the throttle lock on your stick. Then move just one of the throttles, let's use the right one, when you are binding the collective. When that's done, go to Saiteks software and disable the left throttle axis to make sure it doesn't interfere with anything. Now, lock the two throttles together again. The reason for the issue is that the X-55 throttle send two signals at once when they're locked together, and then Arma won't read any of the two.

You can skip the X-55 software if you first move the throttles to the 50% mark, unlock them, assign the axes using only one (left or right) throttle, then lock them together again. iz3d 10 Posted April 30, 2015 I had this exact same issue: X55 controllers show up in game, function ok, except throttle movement was not recognized. My X55 was connect to the computer through an USB Hub. I reconnected the controllers to two seperate USB3 ports on the computer and it now works properly (throttle movement is recognized). Strange thing is - when connected through hub, the rhino software would show input working properly and it would even work in number of other games - but not Arma3 :/

Cronyx 10 Posted May 3, 2015 (Couldn't figure out how to start a new thread) I've got a Logitech G13 ( gaming.logitech.com/en-us/product/g13-advanced-gameboard ) for all my WSAD needs, a generic PS2 clone gamepad, and a Microsoft SideWinder Precision 2 joystick. The thumb stick on the G13 is a 1 button (it presses in) HID generic joystick built into the board, and shows up in ARMA's control list. So does my generic pad, as well as the Sidewinder. I'm trying to set up my Sidewinder, however ARMA3 only seems to want to recognize the built in G13 thumb stick. I've even disabled it in the ARMA3 settings, but when I go to bind functions in key bindings, none of the buttons on the Sidewinder nor the sliders or axis are detected. What am I doing wrong? Rawhide 2 Posted May 4, 2015 I had this exact same issue: X55 controllers show up in game, function ok, except throttle movement was not recognized. Did you try what I suggested? Try with just one of the two throttles, see if Arma recognizes it then. Running without the Saitek software is a no-go in my opinion. At least not if you want to control more than just the helicopter/plane in Arma. On the throttle, I've got TrackIR reset and sleep, four TFAR-radio channels (plus setup), and I use the mouse-nipple in map navigation. None of those would function without the Saitek software. ---------- Post added at 09:45 ---------- Previous post was at 09:42 ---------- I'm trying to set up my Sidewinder(...) What am I doing wrong? I use the X-55 throttle, and as a stick I use the Sidewinder Force Feedback 2. I didn't have any problem setting it up. You might want to make sure you have not plugged it in a USB3. I believe these are only USB2 compatible.
