Frequent DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED crashes

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have been having an extreme problem with ArmA 3. My game has been crashing so much that I can't even play the game. I have been trying everything I can. I have tried updating drivers and reinstalling DX. I need help. The error just won't go away. The error I'm getting is this:

dx11 error buffer map failed DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED

Please help me fix this. Or please link me to a tread that solved this problem.

I need to fix this problem, I really want to play arma 3 but with this I can't do anything. I meet all the system requirements. And once I join a game about 5 minutes I crash with this error. No gun fights, no car crashes, no triggers in the game causing this. Please help me fix this, or link a tread where I can fix this, please? Thank you!

You posted in the wrong section, but I'll try my best to help you. What are your system specifications?

Can you run your DxDiag and upload it here?

1. Go to your start menu and type in "dxdiag" and press enter. (If it asks you to verify that drivers are signed, click yes.)

2. Once it is open, click on Save All Information.

3. Save it somewhere and upload it somewhere (Like unlisted on pastebin or something.) I can access it and look over your system specifications closer, such as your driver versions.

your computer is probably overheating

Nope, I can just automatically log in and go right to arma 3 it's not over heating, it's got to be a graphical and driver error

Maybe you can find something worthwhile in the above thread, despite its inconclusive nature.

I read though that before. I just read though it again. I don't have a nvidia driver. I will try what the cool guy said and uninstall and reinstall DX and maybe I'll have luck. Does anyone know if developers have looked into this? There's a lot more then me have this problem. This problem needs to be resolved, somehow, some way. This problem is one of the biggest problems I've every seen in a game. Also for myself, this is the first time I ever had a problem/error like this! Developers need to look into this!

Guest HellGhost

I have the same issue.

The first time, in ArmA III, just go in the Main Menu, and after a few seconds, crash with this error message.

I just install the latest GeForce Experience and NVidia driver, load again after a reboot and all fine, no any other crash since a while.

But the last time, I just used ArmA III with AiA (another shortcut to being able to launch different modded versions) and using the Splendid Cam in Chernarus get me this crash again.

I don't really know what to think of this issue.

It seems to be really random.

No crash of this type in any other games.

Just two times in ArmA III, so that's definetly not an overheating or driver problem, it's strictly limited to ArmA III.

Microsoft has a page on DXGI errors, also a link to another page describing (minimally) how to get additional information.

There's also a thread on Intel, seemed to be a video driver issue.

System specs minimal - which OS; Win 7 home, Pro, ? Win8, 8,1?? Which video driver? (you gave the name of the video chip/card, not the driver version)
