You need to clear the area objective and find clues about what is happening there, USA have a -peacefull- coexistence with russians troops in the area, so this is a SILENT mission. But sometimes, things just can go VERY wrong.

Tried the mission few times and everything works fine, it can be played alone with the recruited IA (the mission is not too hard) but is better with a good "human" team

If you find something wrong with the mission just tell me and i'll fix it

Sounds great, and fits our addon requirement perfectly. Have you tested it on a dedicated server? Also, I hope this is not a respawn mission?

Variable, actually no :( it has respawn at base...

About the dedi, nope, i didn't test it in one (dont have one lol), but all scripts options "should" work fine cuz they don't create markers to any specific player, just !alive players and player side units.

About the respawn

IMO the mission need one, becouse some things happens during the mission and the russians start to hunt you, plus at the end you need to infiltrate their HQ and is a highly guarded one [for real] (can do it without diying, but human players are more likely to die in that area, we dont talk about IA haha.) plus there is a CAS operation very danger close and if you (for some reason) stay inside the enemy HQ perimeter during cas, 100% sure you'll get your face kicked by a vehicle explosion lol

New version 1.1

List of fixes/changes

  1. Cache system triggering main mission to "complete"
  2. Populated the FOB Valhalla with some vehicles and a respawn system for them (didn't want to do that, but some guys asked for it... me first intention was to make a pure grunt mission)
  3. Task tweaks
  4. Changed the Reinforcements Heli to a KA-60 (no weapons) the Mil Mi-8 was making the mission VERY HARD
  5. Improved unit selection at lobby (now you can see the unit tipe)
  6. Ingame groups tweaks
  7. Improved the mission for COOP gameplay
  8. Enabled AI for "solo" players
  9. Cache system now "remember" how many units have each area and load the same amount of units when you re-enter that area

Incompatible with:

  1. ZBE Cache (the mission has a cache system made by spunFIN)
  2. Any kind of AI mod (Asr AI, Bcombat, etc...)

To do:

  1. Custom load out for all ingame troops (idk how to make them, sry im rly newbie at mission making, still learning... be patient with me :P)

Tested the mission with:

  1. AGM and its revive system [works fine]
  2. Arsenal and ASOR Gear Selector finds all customs addons
  3. Many weapons addons

Thanks my fellow neighbour mith86arg, just loved your mission, quite immersive and fun! If you get some radio protocol, it would add a lot, but this mission is already great as it is =) (and Thank almighty for the CAS, my small 5 men fireteam wouldn´t cope with that russian FOB if it wasn´t for the Warthogs raining lead on those ruskies lol)

Radio messages playing throughtout the mission - radio trafic (you can use vanilla´s radio protocol present in the campaign) or maybe orders from the FOB (voice acting necessary) whever a task is completed (and thus issuing the next objective)

It would add more immersion, but is more of a cosmetic touch =)

awwwww, im going to do some research on how to achieve that, remember that im a newbie with this things, but yes, it would add a lot of immersion, 100% agree with you :D

Radio protocol could add a lot to your mission... and I see you´re a MSG fan (who isnn´t on this foruns lol?), I´d suggest you a mission using MSGV remake units and objects (Big Boss eye patches, diamond dogs berets etc) and Ewk Cigars (so BBoss can kick some ass while smoking his cuban cigars lol)

Indeed im a MGS fan... but actually i want to make a remake of an good old game (the first one i ever played of the "tactical" genere) and that game is Rainbow Six. Already got a few remakes of the campaing (Steel Wind, Cold Thunder and Angel Wire) but i would like to add more "eyecandy" like you said before, and stoped all to keep lerning about that :(, also, would be nice to find more "buildings" for the editor... just found so far that "Killhouse addon"

If you intend to recreate some classic R6 missions, maybe Mininhattan map is a good bet as it is mostly urban... and http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?182997-Poolpunks-Object-Packs-Work-in-Progress-Thread and http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?188629-PLP-BeachObjects may help the immersion... maybe JBAD Buildings could be of some use?
