Single person cannot see guns from mod, but all others can

Recommended Posts

So I am running into this weird issue with one of my squad mates. We are all using the Robbert Hammer m4/m16 pack (I have tried reaching out for answers with him but no luck so far). We are running into this odd issue where 5 of us are all able to see the guns, but one person cannot. I have ensured that they are all installed properly and enabled in his game. We had him download them fresh from Armaholic, and still no luck. We even tried deleting all of the bikey and bisign stuff to make sure there was no issue with that (which shouldn't be an issue as we don't run on a dedicated server).

Any idea what might be causing this? I cant think of any conflicting mods as we are all using the same stuff.

I too have run into a similar error with a pack I have worked on when one or more of my testers did not have the exact same version as the server.

Can the person in question see the weapons in the Arsenal outside of MP?

Is he able to add any of the classnames directly to his character in the editor?

If the answer to the above two questions is "Yes", make sure he he/she has the exact same version as the rest of you (PWS is probably the best answer to keep you all up-to-date).

If the answer is "No" then he/she has messed up the install, and should probably be shot for not being able to unpack a .RAR file correctly :D

EDIT: As a side note, make sure they also have the very latest version of ASDG if required, as an older version of that may cause issues.

Firstly, I'd ignore the ingame 'Expansions menu, its buggy as hell. Secondly, have your friend add the following to his desktop shortcut so it resembles the following:

"G:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Arma 3\arma3.exe" -mod=@CBA_A3;@ISA-5-0;@RH_M4;@RH_Acc

Note: The red text would obviously be his path to his steam directory where ArmA is installed. Also note that I renamed the '@RH Acc' folder to '@RH_Acc'. I'm not sure how ArmA handles mod folders with spaces in the name - my guess is that may be the cause of your issue.

EDIT: If your friend insists on continuing to use the ingame Expansions menu, deactivate both RH folders before renaming the Acc folder, restart the game, activate both folders again and then restart your game once more. If they STILL don't show up in the Arsenal, something is seriously wrong with your friend's set-up.

That worked actually, not sure if it was the acc folder or the command line, but that fixed it. THANK YOU!!!!

No worries, I suspect it was the folder name. I'm just glad it worked in the end.
