kbbw123 115 Posted December 15, 2014 A3 uses 2 core's max. plus it also depends what kind of missions you want to host. PvP servers are usually less cpu using than PvE servers.
TheLivingTribunal 10 Posted December 15, 2014 I would love to host a PvP only with max clients.
TheLivingTribunal 10 Posted December 19, 2014 Bump anybody know? Or interested in helping set up a server?
terox 316 Posted December 19, 2014 I run a coop server and the max we can really host for is 50 players. Even if we could go further, I wouldn't really want more than 60 coop players on any 1 server at a time, the man management logistics would make it more hassle than it was worth. For pure PvP I would imagine your hardware would be able to host in the region of 60 to 80 players It really depends on the quality and weight of the scripting for whatever mission you are going to host. From a management point of view, I wouldnt want to administer more than 60 players in any session, that would be just too much hassle, so its not really all about performance capabilities, its about overall qos There are PvP servers that state they can run 100 players at a time, that may be true but I wouldnt imagine their QOS is in the upper realms. The only way to really find out is set up a server and see how it goes.
