Help creating array

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

i am using Drongos excellent DCE.

I have multiple friendly groups that appear in the DCE interface,but i would like to exclude a couple of them.

I think drongo is on a break from Arma at the momentso i wanted to as here,rather than the mods thread.

Drongo mentioned this: •Added the ability to exclude groups from command (using an array dceExcludedGroups).

I have no clue how to create this array,or where i would put it.After googling arma3 Arrays,it brought me to a page that i simply couldnt understand anything.

I tried making my array like this,in the groups init field:

_dceExcludedGroups = {this}

Needless to say,it didnt work,and that group is still included in the mods ui/interface.

Hopefully i explained what im trying to do,and someone could explain in simple terms how to acheive my goal.

Please dont link me to an array tutorial page as i just came from there;)

Thanks all

Well first off, when he says using the dceExcludedGroups array, it means it already exists you don't need to create it.

Secondly, if you were trying to create a array, they use "[ ]" not "{ }". (unless I'm missing something)

Thirdly, I haven't used DCE, however seeing how it uses it's own in-game editor module have you check to make sure there isn't an Excluded Groups field within that modules parameters? Or that there is another module for DCE exculsion?
