Activating CAS module via trigger?

Recommended Posts

I've been trying to set up a make a jet level a town and I've been told that the only way to make AI jets reliably target objects such as buildings is to use the CAS support caller. I want to set this up so that units trigger it but when I test it, the just just flied around in circles and never attacks my target. I have a trigger linked to a support requester with that linked to the support provider (CAS bombing run) and that linked to a A-10D. Whenever I step in the trigger, nothing happens. I've tried linking the trigger directly to the support provider with no effect. Please help.

I think on those runs the AI jet pilot is looking for a laser target to bomb, I could be wrong, but I don't think they just bomb away.

What if I just don't restrict it to a bombing run?

As far as I know, a trigger shouldn't activate the Support Requester, that is linked to the player to allow him to call upon preset Supports. the CAS module under Zues will do what you want, but you have to make it spawn on trigger activation, otherwise it will fire before your ready.

How would one do that?
