alleycat 28 Posted July 25, 2014 I have questions about the Arma3 tools. 1. When mounting the P drive, where are the files physically on my hard drive? 2. When I unmount the drive, will the data still exist? 3. I am a bit paranoid about backups. How safe is the data within the P environment? I saw people having registry errors with the drive. Tom_48_97 523 Posted July 25, 2014 Here some details about P: http://tom4897.info/blog/2014/06/arma-3-tools-p-drive-devp/ As for your questions: 1 - P is just a substitute drive, files are not moved in any way. It just a "shortcut" pointing to a directory 2 - The data still exist in folder where P is pointing to. 3 - The only thing to take care of, is when you delete a file from a substitute drive, on some OS, it's a permanent deletion (no move into the recycle bin)
Devastator_cm 434 Posted September 25, 2017 I think I made a terrible mistake.. I had already a drive with P: and I run the mountdrive from arma tools and now I do not see anymore what I had in my P: drive before I run the exe. How can I get my files back? P: drive shows it has several GBs of data inside but none of them are visible anymore...
