ivancarlos 10 Posted July 12, 2014 Hi masters, As you guys maybe know, GameSpy is dead and Bohemia Interactive announced that we can activate our retail keys of ArmA II on Steam. Problem is that the ArmA II key offered by GreenManGaming is not a retail key in your original form, but an encripted version of that (and added automatically when you install the game using his installation platform called Capsule), the same kind added in Windows registry. So, I asked both companies about this. - GreenManGaming support said that they requested Steam keys to the publishers and does not have feedback yet. - Bohemia Interactive said that the vendor is responsible to offer these keys. So, how can we migrate ArmA II from GreenManGaming to Steam? Thanks a lot and regards
Joe98 92 Posted July 12, 2014 Bohemia Interactive announced that we can activate our retail keys of ArmA II on Steam. Its not compulsory so there is nothing to worry about. .
ivancarlos 10 Posted July 13, 2014 Well guys, problem solved! As I say, GreenManGaming offers only the key already encrypted, exactly as it's added on Windows Registry. So, as nobody can offer us the CD-kEy in retail form, I just decrypted the key, added on Steam and worked! *.*

ivancarlos 10 Posted August 1, 2014 (edited) How did you do that? Download and follow procedures: link removed 1) Access Windows registry and search the path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Bohemia Interactive Studio\ArmA 2 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Bohemia Interactive Studio\ArmA 2 OA or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Bohemia Interactive Studio\ArmA 2 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Bohemia Interactive Studio\ArmA 2 OA (usually found in x64 OS) 2) If your "key" registry string are inside "\ArmA 2\" path, rename folder to "\ArmA 2 OA\" because the application below only reads "\ArmA 2 OA\" path 3) Run ARMA2OS_KEYCHANGER application 4) Write the 3rd line of the program (Your ARMA2:OA CD-KEY:) in somewhere and close the program, there's your CD-KEY 5) Add dashes on the code following the pattern 1111-22222-33333-44444-55555 (1 block containing 4 chars + 4 blocks containing 5 chars) 6) Add the result key on Steam =) Edited August 1, 2014 by MadDogX
