Help with porting Merlin from A2 to A3

Recommended Posts

Hello. I was wondering if anyone on this forum could help me port the Merlin helo from A2 into A3. I know of AiA etc but I would just like to know how I go about porting this one helo across to A3. What files do I need? What kind of cfg would I need to write/use?

Thank you.

Well i dont want to be rude but u have to use Merlin model from BI samples, textures from samples and make new config for it, after that u have to add physx, sounds, animations, wreck model and u r good to go.

Am sure there is a much easier way then this? If you can port everything from Arma 2 to Arma 3 and it works, am sure there will be a way to port a single vehicle...

May I be a bit curious and ask about reasoning behind that? Because, as far as I can tell, Merlin is the same helicopter as Mohawk which is already in Arma 3 :icon_twisted:

Mohawk has different rotors, tail section, engines etc. Slightly futuristic Merlin ;)

The old BAF model (upon which the later TOH/Arma 3 models are based) is more of a 1:1 representation of the real thing, for those that milsim bro.

That makes sense. Still, changing one model for another should do the trick, I would dare say :icon_twisted:
