Ophelian 10 Posted May 22, 2014 Played through the alpha and beta and had a lot of fun, its a good concept and i prefer "old" themes like this one compared to a futuristic approach like PlanetSide2 or even Arma. Is it just me or there is very few games covering WWI? Verdun is great and is a lot of fun with a squad. Recent patches did a great job to optimize and augment performance in general, they are making a solid shooter here.
ProfTournesol 956 Posted May 22, 2014 Sadly it's only another shooter. WW1 deserves better.
onlyrazor 11 Posted May 22, 2014 Most WWI games are combat flight simulators. The only other (recent) WWI FPS that comes to my mind is a mod for M&B: Warband. A good and gritty WWI FPS has been a dream of mine for a long time. This isn't it, but it's getting there. Of course, the lack of WWI games means that this game gets the dubious distinction of being a pioneer - if they do it well, it might launch a new trend. If they fail, it'll be an example of why people don't and won't make WWI games. Here's to a successful game.
