Belbo 462 Posted April 17, 2014 I have a second PC on which I sometimes have a dedicated Arma 2 CO- and Arma III-server running. I'm wondering now, if the modfolders have to be inside the installation folder of the game to be available via -mod=XYZ or if there's any way to have a different folder only for mods. My game installation is set to devbuild, but the server tools for Arma III are for stable build only. I'd like to have both (the game installation from which I can start the devbuild dedicated server and the server folder from which I can start the stable dedicated server) use a common modfolder, so I don't have to have every mod twice on my HD for devbuild and stable each. Does anyone know a way to achieve that?
SavageCDN 231 Posted April 17, 2014 You can have the mod folders anywhere just use absolute path if it's outside of the game folder https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3_Startup_Parameters#Modifications

SavageCDN 231 Posted April 17, 2014 What you could do is merge some mod folders... not the best idea for updating etc but it makes it easier to manage.
