rwake345 10 Posted January 28, 2014 What are the system requirements to host a 100-slot ArmA 3 server. If it's important it will be running Altis Life. Would the Four Core plan from NFOServers be enough? https://www.nfoservers.com/order-virtual-dedicated-server.php Four core: Perfect for 4-12 game servers or many sites. Four full, dedicated HT CPU cores (Nehalem or better) 4096 MB of RAM 400 GB of RAID-protected storage 4000 GB of InterNAP bandwidth transfer And if not. What more would it need? This would most likely be about the only thing running on it. Maybe a MySQL database for the gamemode. Quick responses are appreciated.
griffz 1 Posted January 29, 2014 "Four core: Perfect for 4-12 game servers or many sites." 4-12 counter strike server, yes probably. but in no way such number of arma server. depending of CPU clock rate, i would say a 4 core i7@3ghz could probably host 2 arma3 heavy server. in any case , you need to aim 3ghz i7 i5 or i3 . better have 2 core @ 3ghz than 12 core @2.5 ghz . arma3 server need single thread performer CPU.
