mr_centipede 31 Posted January 23, 2014 Hello all, just came across this: http://store.steampowered.com/app/223830/?snr=1_7_15__13 It's said to be a proper X-COM remake, but having never played x-com before, I couldn't tell. But what I can tell is it is fun. The ground combat is turn-based and it feels like Jagged Alliance 2, so for me it is a plus. chortles 263 Posted January 23, 2014 Ehhh, the way I see it is is that Xenonauts is intentionally closer to the mechanics/UI of the earlier X-COM games while X-COM: Enemy Unknown is instead an attempt at a remake with "the X-COM essence", though this shouldn't be considered a knock on either game (and the developers' statements about each other in 2012 have been rather cordial). Dwarden 1126 Posted January 31, 2014 i have and it's one of the better variations of UFO serie ... unfortunately i still mising some of the variety (weaponry/ammo types) etc. compared to originals but it has modding and mapping, so i hope they add workshop support in future Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
