Arma 3 PhysX Driving problems

Recommended Posts

Hey guys!

I got another problem once again :).. Its with PhysX and my car is driving and it starts flipping when I turn... Here is my Config http://pastebin.com/EyaW5GSf for the physX if someone could help me fix why it keeps flipping when im turning it would be appreciated. I have tried setting the weight of the car to over 1500 and nothing seems to work.

Something to do with centre of gravity ? I'm not a PhysX expert, just know a lot about gravity ;)

Could you make a short video about what it does looks like if you rolling? That could help finding out what's wrong.

Possibility of rolling a vehicle can have several reasons:

1. Center of mass:

I don't know how your center of mass is looking like, but if it is on the upper half of you vehicle the center pushes over the sides of you vehicle when turning resulting in rolling. You could try lowering the center of mass by giving certain objects on the lower parts of you vehicle (like the axles) more mass than they would have in reality.

2. Too weak anti-rollbars:

Anti-Rollbars are distributing the force between each side of the vehicle when turning. Try to raise the value for antiRollbarForceCoef (you have set it to 0 at the moment). This could help preventing the vehicle from rolling.

3. Wrong suspension:

Depending on your suspension it can either be too hard or too soft. This can lead to having a vehicle roll when turning. Try lowering this value first, than raising if it still is rolling.

*FIX*

It was a problem with my geometry. I went in and redid it all and it seems to drive around just fine now! Thanks everyone for your help!:)

But now I have another problem... My car is leaning to one side.. I redid all land contact points using shift + click making sure they were all the same length/center and it still wants to lean to one side? Any help please?
