twisted 128 Posted December 23, 2013 it is very frustrating. i try and put SLAM down in front of a vechile (especially enemy vehcile) and it just goes off. but if i put it in front of a house or ammo box i can set the timer. why does vechiles set it off like this? it kills my character every time. GReeves 10 Posted December 23, 2013 In ARMA2 with ACE, you could choose between the SLAM charge's magnetically-fused bottom attack (land mine), timed detonation, infrared detection using the PIRS, and command detonation mode. I have never used ARMA3 explosives but it sounds like your SLAM is changing between these modes. Sorry I can't help more. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Elena 2 Posted December 23, 2013 SLAM's in A3 just go off if a Vehicle or Soldier is detected Close. If you want to Take out a Vehicle Command-Detonated either use Satchel Charges, or place the SLAM further away, the Radius should still be big enough to damage the vehicle.
