semiconductor 309 Posted December 1, 2013 (edited) Hello! Some time ago I encountered cheating on my "server" and have been advised to enable signature check. Sadly, I searched for quite a while but didn't find a way to force signature check on non-dedicated server and I also didn't managed to startup dedicated server on my computer with ACE (it says that "Addon 'MAP_EU' requires 'CASigns2'" and 'No entry 'bin\config.bin /CfgSurfaceCharacters.CRGrassWCLutter' - turns out many folks had same errors but I didn't found any clue how to fix them in my case. No wonder though, I'm complete noob in server configuring). So, the question is: is it possible to enable signature check on non-dedicated servers? Or I must to create dedicated server in order to avoid unfair players? Edited December 1, 2013 by Semiconductor
Harzach 2518 Posted December 1, 2013 Regarding your errors, you are launching Operation Arrowhead when you should be launching Combined Operations. Not sure if there's a way to check signatures on a listen server.
semiconductor 309 Posted December 2, 2013 Not sure if there's a way to check signatures on a listen server.Well, seems like it's impossible. :(Regarding your errors, you are launching Operation Arrowhead when you should be launching Combined Operations.Yup, I get that, but all solutions that I found (including official BI guide to merging A2 and OA into CO) didn't help much, oaserver still didn't know anything about my Arma 2 installation. But thanks to your reply I suddenly found that there is a workaround: adding "-mod=C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2;Expansion;ca" to server startup parameters solves the problem. :DThank you for your help! :)
