Sectors HUD shows kills/points on expert difficulty (bad for TVT)

Since the new patch there is rather massive issue with the sector module. Points/Kills are shown above the flag HUD in real time and on every difficulty level. And that sort of ruins playing TVT on expert, because you can instantly tell if you killed a player and how many are alive.

I would like to suggest:

Remove the points/kills counter or make it possible to toggle.

What's wrong with showing the sides score? Or am I missing something here?

The problem is that they can be used as death messages. Shoot at someone, number didn't change? Well he's still alive then!

Well, that's no different than the standard death messages telling you that you've killed a player. Or how about simply pressing P to see if your score has went up? You can disable these things, but most don't. The majority leave death messages and the scoreboard on. So, please Moricky don't disable the module scoring, but maybe only add an optional parameter to hide the score. You're steadily improving things, please don't go the other way. In any case, I don't see the point in TvT if there's not a measurement of sorts, (ie; the score) of who's winning. Unless ofcourse your playing hardcore without respawn.

That's why he is talking about Expert difficulty. From what I recall death messages are off by default there. Not always knowing whether you killed a guy or not is a great thing in Arma. A parameter would be nice indeed to turn it off in some scenarios.

Yeah I realize expert has death messages and the score board disabled by default. Most use regular mode in any case so they can customize each setting individually. Anyhow, an optional parameter would be great, so long as it's not scrapped entirely. Personally, unless I'm playing super hardcore, without any respawns, then I utilize the scoreboard and death messages. Alot do :). So completely scrapping the scoring system with the sector modules would be bad.

note: I jumped for joy when I noticed karel added these new features to the sector module. Is why I'm so defensive about it!

Fixed, the score is now hidden when "Multiplayer Score" difficulty option is disabled. Should appear in the upcoming dev branch update.
