the1freeman 1 Posted November 19, 2013 (edited) I've noticed that there are no servers running HOLD location game mode.. There were in the alpha and they were pretty populated. I think this is was a great mode in Arma 2. Most multiplayer Arma2 I played was AAS missions on HOLD servers, particularly on a russian one that is currently still active. Arma 3 alpha HOLD had great potential, I don't understand why it got removed. Edited November 20, 2013 by the1freeMan
JTF 10 Posted November 20, 2013 http://www.icarma3.info/ IC run AAS style missions, we have a organized battle every sunday with 2 armies you can find more info on the site or in the thread called international conflict tournament in the arma 3 - Multiplayer forum. There is also a "king of the hill" mode is you search hostile takeover in your arma 3 filter, 3 teams fight for control over 1 area. JTF
galzohar 31 Posted November 21, 2013 Missions are many. Servers that run them - Not so many. The BIS missions that were abundant in Alpha were probably just ran by local hosts trying them out, and disappeared as they were getting frustrated with how bad those missions are. As for other "HOLD" type PvP missions or any other PvP missions, you can search these forums, but you are unlikely to find any servers running them unless you attend very specific dedicated events. Unfortunately no public server admin/community (or just enough public players) are wiling to play anything other than the currently popular "farm money and buy equipment" missions. Short answer: It got removed because people have decided to no longer host them.
