brad7 4 Posted November 8, 2013 Model will go into oxygen fine as a .3DS but when opening it i get the error's texture file (RGB Map) has not been found. In my folder i have the model and the Uvmaps in .paa. It showed fine in max but i just cant get it into oxygen!?
abs 2 Posted November 8, 2013 Is your texture name longer than 8 characters? If so, it trims it down. You can always just apply the textures in O2...select your faces, press 'e', and browse to your texture. Abs
brad7 4 Posted November 8, 2013 No only 5 characters and to be honest i cant be bothered to apply the texture again but in oxygen. It should work how i've done it. Brad
abs 2 Posted November 8, 2013 Are you working in the P:\ drive? I'm pretty sure that it's kept your mapping, despite the fact that it can't find the texture. You ought to be able to change the path by pressing Alt+T and then choosing your texture and then finding it in the browser. There is also a mass path renamer somewhere, I believe, but I don't have that much experience with o2. Abs
brad7 4 Posted November 8, 2013 Yeh, Its all in P:/ drive, Just tried using ALT+T but cant seem to get that to work either i select the path then nothing.. Brad
abs 2 Posted November 8, 2013 Last hope: - Open the resource library (Window > Resource Library) - Select your lod - Right click your texture, and choose "select in object" - Press 'e' - Browse for your texture and apply. Abs
[aps]gnat 28 Posted November 8, 2013 Just as a test have you tried converting them manually with TextView2? Are they TGA? Are they correctly sized, like 512x512 / 1024x1024 / 2048x2048 or most combinations of those numbers. EDIT : Sorry, you said paa format already ...

guy123 10 Posted November 19, 2013 For future reference mate, try using .obj - 3ds doesn't export well and can often weld/unweld vertices without telling you.
abs 2 Posted November 19, 2013 I haven't had any problems with it. Have you tried clicking the No merge checkbox? Abs
