Grass growing from runway.

Helo everyone. I got a small problem.

I made a map in l3dt then imported to visitor 3.

I did put buildings roads trees on it. I made airfield.

Then pucked it with bin pbo pe.

In the game dont know why but grass is growing from runway.....

I got 3 runways on my airfield and some parts of the runway are fine but on some parts grass is growing.

All the roads are ok but problem is with the runway...

Any ideas anyone..?..

Hi Cezary,

I believe the suggestion is to use the "invisible" road object underneath your runway objects. Old Bear posted that in some cases he used two layers of invisible road under his runways.

Sorry one question - how to make objects invisible?

In o2 you can create a p3d with just the road way lod filled with a plane however big you need to suppress the grass. There are already 'clutter cutters' in the arma mlods that you can download.

However for a runway I would suggest using a texture underneath that is mapped in your config to be clutter free 'say asphalt' then you won't have to worry about creating clutter cutters for such a large area.

Arma2 already has an invisible road piece available.

In a previous thread (long while back) I provided a link to an improved invisible road p3d (use only for editing, (re)place inside CA directory in P drive) that "snap" together, making it easier to lay lots of them in Visitor.

.... If you don't use the suggested, normal fix of changing the land mask texture.
