Bracer84 has released a new video of it's new map: New York City

It is made for Arma 2, but I think it should be ported to Arma 3 too. So basically with this thread I'm letting you know about this incredible map, and suggest that it should be ported to Arma 3.

The custom models and stuff he did for this map shouldn't be a problem to port to Arma 3, but i wonder what happens if he uses arma 2 stuff too? Could it be ported to Arma 3 without problems? (since Arma 2 is free)

Any other suggestions/advises you would like to add? (hope bracer84 spots this thread, because it's up to him to do the porting, or to allow someone else to do so).

Or maybe you should ask the person who made the map instead of asking others to port the map, which by the way, is an addon request. And, to be clear, you cannot port the map without his permission anyway.

It is imposible to port the map since it isn't even been released, and this post goes adressed to the creator of the map. The curious thing is that long tim ago I told him that it would be cool to make a New york map for Arma 2, so since he has done it so, I can say he is someone who listens to what people has to say. Don't get me wrong I started this thread with good intentions.

Well then, if this is a thread about a hypothetical A3 port of a work-in-progress A2 map from a person who apparently has no forum presence here, what are we to discuss? And I guess this still belongs to the addon request thread (if you noticed, all the mod-specific threads on this category are made by their creators for info/feedback).

I don't get much the point of the thread. If you want a map of NYC use suggestions, if you want Bracer84 to port his A2 map, then try to contact him.

Looks like i'm the only person interested in this addon. you don't get that the main point of this post is that a video about a new york map has been released in YouTube, and there isn't any info anywhere else? So what i'm trying to spread the Word that there is a new york map? I wanted to see if there was anyone interest in it, or in the posibility of it in being a Arma 3 addon too. I also asked/made some questions, but nobody cares.

PD: Except Emoglobinsky at least he showed some interest and not only posted to criticize something.

Everyone in this forums has a list of stuff that they would love to see in the game, so that's why instead of creating each one a thread, they use common threads. In this case the "Addon Request". You'll see that so many people have different desires that is a Fixed thread ( with dozens of pages ).

To publish videos of A2 made by users, there is this thread: Arma II & OA User Video Thread. If you want to advertise that video, you could use add the link to your signature, but not create a thread in the A3 Addon Discussion forums ( that exist to talk about the A3 addons that are being made ).

The title only says "New York City (By Bracer84)". Which as we are in the A3 Addon dicussion forum, will make people think that YOU and Bracer84 are making that addon for A3.

So for instance the title in your case should be something like "Anyone interested in having the A2 NYC map by Bracer84 ported to A3?". That IMO should be in the request thread, because after all this is only your request.
