Help with hosting my own server.

Hey all, I need your help with hosting my own server. This is the first time ever and so i have no idea how to do it . It said something like add the OFP_Server.exe file to the same directory as OperationFlashpoint.exe. How do i add it and won't it activate fade???

What i did so far is extracted the files to the operation flashpoint directory. I ran the Server.EXE file but it said " No entry "bin\Config.bin.CfgWorlds' ". What do i do now???

Make sure that the OFP_server.EXE is extracted to the root of the Operation Flashpoint Directory. Also make sure that you patched your game to version 1.4 first, and that you are running the 1.4 server executable (these are separate downloads). You may need to run the game normally once so that a flashpoint.cfg file is generated.

What he is saying is that once you have installed the software on your server...make sure to start the game as if you are going to play it at least one time...that way OFP will generate its own flashpoint.cfg file...simply start the game...start a mission, and then exit out...once you are done with that, you will need to start the server using the dedicated "stand-alone" server exe available in the downloads section of the flashpoint1985.com page. Hope this helps.

Where is the flashpoint.cfg located and when i exit do i just press Alt and Tab ? or exit the game?

The file is in the directory that you installed OFP to, normally this would be C:\Program Files\Codemasters\Operation Flashpoint.

The .CFG file can be created by either running the Preferences program, or starting the game once. You can exit completely, you don't need to Alt-Tab back to the Desktop.
