Azz 0 Posted August 18, 2002 So i find a target in my sight's....line him up and fire...but what happens the bullet lands offset from the center of the Cheveron now this is verry verry annoying. why does this happen ?
bn880 5 Posted August 18, 2002 Simulation of physics? Depends on the distance and how shaky your grip is. At least in my OFP.
theavonlady 2 Posted August 18, 2002 What version of OFP are you playing? When you say off-center, do you mean above-below or left right? Do you have any unofficial weapon addons installed? Is this true whether your target is on an incline/decline from your position or even when both you and the target are at the same ground level? Are you standing, knealing or prone when firing? Kermit 0 Posted August 19, 2002 You have to learn how to use the sights. I have the same problem as you do. Do you know my solution? I don't use the damn thing. This is the Druganov you are talking about, right?
LBGS_Stewart 0 Posted August 19, 2002 i notice this problem to i am not shure what it is i think it may have to do with where your guy is leaning because when it shoots off to the right side or left you move the scope in that direction and you will make a direct hit same for me with the M21 some times it eather to the left or right of where i shoot but if i move the scope over and leave the elivation in the same spot and shoot its good its not like its doing it random so i think it has to do soemthing about how/where the guy is leaning
ralphwiggum 6 Posted August 19, 2002 in ofp, recoil is simulated with respect to the ground plane. in other words, recoil jump(?) will be orthogonal/normal/right angle with respect to your goround plane. on flat surfaces, it will go up. on slanted hill, it will go to side a bit. like if you are in prone on a hill that rises from left to right, your recoil will head towards left. walker 0 Posted August 20, 2002 Well answered RalphWiggum something I didnt Know  I just offset my aim automatic after the first shot something I learned from shooting air rifles as a kid. b x a If you aim at x and hit a then aim at b and you wil hit x simple geometry Regards walker
Azz 0 Posted August 20, 2002 A Missed shot can mean life or death... Hence when you only have 1 shot to do the job and it goes offset for no apparent reason it is annoying... i can be lying flat on the desert and it still happens.
