mistyronin 1181 Posted September 12, 2013 A lot of people in this forums are asking/suggesting a better medical system for Arma 3 ( judging for the posts and polls results ). I think we should enter in specifics, and talk about how we think it could be improved. That way, we may give ideas to BI ( or maybe a community modder ), in case they decide to work in it. I'll start with this cool VBS 2 video that shows an IED attack and how then an armored ambulance came and a medic drags a soldier to it ( I think it could be implemented in A3 the same way ). progamer 14 Posted September 12, 2013 The medical system shown is quite realistic and very simple in terms of what the player has to do and would add tons to the gameplay. The tow vehicle at the end even showcases how combat recovery vehicles should be.
mistyronin 1181 Posted September 12, 2013 Another VBS2 video, which is quite similar to the last one, but this time with air medevac: NOTE: Obviously I don't want A3 to be like VBS2, just add a few of their features that I think could improve A3 gameplay, and make the game more fun. Making Arma like VBS2 would be a lot more fun. Obviously modules and mods would allow realistic features to be disabled but moving in the direction VBS is a good thing because very few have $500-$3000 dollars to spend on VBS and have their freinds do the same. Also this ticket here for a better medical system along with Dayz's awesome medical system with blood types and openable med kits and first aid kits would make VBS player jealous of Arma 3! http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=3002

I have been lucky enough to play a VBS2 version in the past, and has a lots of stuff that I don't believe that would be interesting to most of the A3 players ( like managing engineer stuff ). But on the other hand, VBS has a few things that would really make a huge gameplay difference, making it way more fun ( like the medical system, or the vehicle recovery system ).EDIT: Well maybe some other features like hand gestures, could be simplified and bind it to the actual commands. Some players like to take roles like vehicle technicians or engineers. It's a matter of preference.
tinter 186 Posted September 12, 2013 Talking about VBS2 and Arma 3 is kind of missing the point since Arma 3 is not a simulator. I'm all for making the medical system better since right now it's really boring, but BIS is not gonna make it like VBS2.
