ToM666 1 Posted August 26, 2013 Hi guys I have a shiney new ArmA3 server and I am trying to make use of it :) However, which ever map I run, default or community created it loses connection after about 2 to four minutes and then crashes. Is this something anybody else has experienced? This is a copy of the error log: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BEX Application Name: arma3server.exe Application Version: 0.76.109.65 Application Timestamp: 520c8e4f Fault Module Name: StackHash_0a9e Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 00000000 Exception Offset: 262aa200 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Data: 00000008

terox 316 Posted August 26, 2013 (edited) I would first follow the dedicated server tutorial in the stickies section at the top of this forum. (It takes a while to go through, but it does work) http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?147537-Tutorial-How-to-run-ArmA3-on-a-dedicated-server&p=2314052&viewfull=1#post2314052 It advises to prove your server by using BIS default missions before you add any custom missions or addons. Once you have done all that and still have the same issue. We would need to start looking at hardware specs and server o/s issues. On the surface, it does appear to be a hardware or o/s based issue, but we would need more information to better advise If you are still stuck, i would recommend pasting the following info into a pastebin link and then pointing to it from this thread 1) Bandwidth settings (ArmA3.cfg) 2) Hardware specs 3) O/S 4) What other apps games are you running on it 5) Where is is sited, Home, data center and what is your bandwidth throughput, eg Up and down) 6) Command line params (Start up line) 7) Any oddball .rpt entries (Dont list every one, there will be hundreds) 8) Config_Vanilla.cfg (or whatever you have named it (Hide the password and admin login) If you provide all this information, it will give us a good overview of your setup and we can recommend from there. ToM666 1 Posted August 26, 2013 (edited) Hi mate I had already looked through that server set up tutorial but unfortunatley the server was 100% set up by the server provider and even though he admits to "loosely referring to that guide" he hasn't followed it to the letter. This means when I try to check through it the template the tutorial creates and what I have don't match so It isn't of much use to me unless I delete what the server providor has done and start again. The server doesn't have anything on it now except the default maps and settings and the problem still occurs. I will provide you guys with the information you have requested indeed I have just set up a pastbin acount to that end but for now I think I will just have to wait for the server provider to respond. The way I see it anything you see that differs from the tutorial you will probably say is wrong so you wont be able to help me unless I set the whole thing up following that template. Leave it with me for now guys. Edited August 26, 2013 by ToM666
