Karrr 10 Posted August 19, 2013 We've recently purchased a box and have Debian 5.0 installed. I've set up a TS3 server on it and it's working perfectly, and I was wondering if we were going to stay with Linux. The reason is is that I don't know if linux can run mods for the server and other things like BEC etc. So if anyone has experience with hosting Arma 2/OA on a Linux OS please clarify things for me :)
TW_ 2 Posted August 24, 2013 If you want to keep your hair stick to Linux :) Windows is just complete ****, there's no other way to put it. If you look here and take a browse through the thread, I'm sure you will get your answer about BEC. As for the mission/mods, It depends what they contain as to weather you can run it on Linux or not. If it uses call extension for example on the mods, you wouldn't be able to use it on Linux.

Coding Camel 10 Posted September 18, 2013 I'm a firm believer in windows, I would stick with WS2008, great OS for arma.
