guyincognito 1 Posted August 16, 2013 I just recently purchased TrackIR and have been having a blast with it, but I have one big question. Is there any way to slave the player's view controls to the gun cam on the choppers equipped with a moving gun? In other words, the HUD already moves with my view in the choppers, as it's supposed to, but when I'm in control of the gun, the gun reticle is still being controlled by the mouse rather than my head movement. I want the gun to aim where I'm looking, is there any way to make that happen? Or is it not possible because of the way the gun on the chopper is controlled within the game? Thanks! guyincognito 1 Posted August 16, 2013 Yeah, it doesn't seem to work that way. Neither the helicopter nor the vehicle control menus have any options for the movement of that gun. It seems to be attached to the "aim" controls in the "view" controls menu. But aside from the fact that assigning those to the TrackIR is a big problem when you're doing anything BUT flying the chopper, the reticle moves extremely slowly and inconsistently that way. Hmm, maybe it's just not possible. It's not a big deal, but it would be a blast if I could get it working. Thanks for the reply.
PantherAl 11 Posted August 18, 2013 That's an really good idea though, as I would think its exactly how it should be. I do know the TADS/PNVS system and gun is slaved to the gunners helmet on the AH64, so it would be perfectly reasonable for it to be the same on the hypothetical AH99. Especially since it was incorporated in the Comanche project.
