Grotista 10 Posted August 8, 2013 Well this will sound mighty retarded and I hope no one calls me out on being a pirate, but I have a pretty massive problem with an arma gold edition I recently dug up. having bought it 3 or so years ago on Amazon. I didn't even get to play MP back then. So I wanted to activate on steam to give it another go, and lo and behold, I found no CD key anywhere on the box or it's contents. I put the disk in to try a manual and install and see if maybe it was something there, to no luck. As expected it asked me for the key and I again searched the operations manual as it indicated and the B&W reference guide with it thoroughly to no avail. There simply isn't anything remotely resembling a serial written on the back of the manual, I've thought if it could have been a small piece of paper or something inside the box that I might've lost or something, maybe it had diferen't packaging. The only guarantee I can give of having the game is photos of the dvd case and it's insides in any case, I was pretty dumbfounded by this because I don't even know how I managed to use it those years ago. Posting this here because I doubt I have the only manual without a CD key written on it and maybe someone had a similar situation, if not, what's the best course of action to prove my purchase and get a new key. Do you have a receipt for the purchase?

Grotista 10 Posted August 13, 2013 (edited) Do you have a receipt for the purchase? I already tried, I don't even have a record of any of the purchases I made in my amazon account but I can probably sort it out, I'll get a ticket and a few photos of the manual and dvd cover, I reckon this thread isn't needed now but before it's closed/deleted can anyone who has dealt with something like this or just knows protocol tell me if it's absolutely necessary to have a receipt? It might seem like I'm passing off someone's copy of the game as my own, but it doesn't have a cd key printed so it's probably cool right? :j: edit: sent Edited August 13, 2013 by Grotista
