asuseroako 17 Posted July 26, 2013 (edited) Hello everyone. :) Some observations regarding the Scorpion EVO-4 9mm in Arma 3 Beta version 0.74.108135 Stable branch. I don't know if I'm the only one experiencing this. Particular issues encountered: no burst mode and no full-auto mode while Scorpion EVO-4 is suppressed. This was observed after updating to the latest SPOTREP #00008 dated 25th July 2013 from 0.72 (SPOTREP #00007) The video below shows exactly what I am trying to describe: Another video comparing behavior of suppressed Scorpion in version 0.72 Stable vs 0.74 Stable: My questions: 1) Was the Scorpion EVO-4's burst and full-auto mode while suppressed intentionally removed in version 0.74? Why? 2) Why was such change not included in the SPOTREP #00008 changelog? I tried to look for similar issue but to no avail unless this was already posted before (Dev build section ?). I am 100% sure there were no other updates applied to my game via Steam after 0.72.107486 and prior to 0.74.108135 which could cause such findings. 3) If it is not officially included in the changelog, would it be considered a bug? Quoting DnA of BIStudio forum: Whereas SITREPs are general development updates, the SPOTREPs will focus solely on big default branch updates to the Beta. Thanks for any info regarding this matter. asuseroako 17 Posted July 29, 2013 Going through the latest DEV build changelog dated 29-07-2013 (Today), it appears that the above findings (post #1) is indeed a bug! :p Full changelog screenshot http://s14.postimg.org/o7p08bash/Dev_Build_EXE_08296.jpg Full EXE rev. 08296 changelog http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?149636-Beta-Development-branch-changelog&p=2452222&viewfull=1#post2452222 This is good as resolved? Will be checking this on the next Stable build release. When? I have no idea.
gvse 10 Posted July 29, 2013 They have rewritten suppressor configs and, since the scorpion takes the same 9mm suppressor as the pistol, it overrides firing modes of the smg. Clearly a bug. I have no way of checking it now, but isn't there a dedicated scorpion suppressor by any chance?
asuseroako 17 Posted July 29, 2013 I don't know if there is a dedicated suppressor for the Scorpion, I used this info thinking that the Scorpion EVO-4 uses 9mm rounds. Source
2fast 11 Posted August 6, 2013 i thought this is intended. Is this going to be fixed?
