rat 0 Posted August 6, 2002 can anyone tell me if it is posible to place a few[4-5]of the birds in ofp and have them fly away when disturbed?........i was thinking of a covert op where the startled birds could give away the position of a unit ie you are taking a 4 man recon patrol thru the woods at dusk when birds suddenly flap away........was that us?......or someone else....... just think it makes a change to a flare trap.....variety is the spice of life etc anyone? sorry meant to post this in editing Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

peeps 0 Posted August 6, 2002 its possible, the offical campaign does it. On the start of the game as your flying in for the first mission (named "flashpoint"). The camera looks at a bird, it than takes off and flys just infront of the blackhawks and the camera zooms into the blackhawk and you get fowley and kozlowski talking about if its the russians or not. red oct 2 Posted August 6, 2002 somebody made a single player mission ware you play as a fisherman whos fights against the soviet invasion by using his trained seagulls to go on suicide runs. theres 2 different seagulls, on that will drop bombs and one ware you land and it will explode. i'll try to find it. rat 0 Posted August 6, 2002 no joy can anyone help me with this idea[ i'm still a scripting virgin so be gentle ] i want to set a trigger that will initiate a few seagulls flying away from the trigger............for the purpose of giving away the position of a unit to the enemy as i really don't get the scripting syntax for a "camcreated" unit and dont see the gulls in the editor as units i'll have to ask for help.............. can anyone point me in the right direction? and red oct needs some more medication.....lol Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
